I specialise in delivering educational and inspirational yin yoga and mindfulness classes, combining practical brain science, ancient wisdom and spiritual counselling in an easy and down to earth manner to provide valuable knowledge and practices for transformation and stress management.

Yin Yoga & Mindfulness : Journey Through The Chakras
Chakras are energy centres, like disks/wheels of energy that interpenetrate the physical body and affect our nervous system and emotional. physical and spiritual health.
6 weeks of 2 hour sessions, 6.30-8.30pm, focusing on one energy centre (chakra) at a time and learning how to recognise imbalances and how you can influence your life and experiences in a positive way, through conscious awareness and carefully selected practices including:
meditation, gentle yin flow, yin yoga, mindfulness and a full guided chakra themed meditation to close.
Cosy, comfy, safe, warm and supported in every way. A treat for the mind, body & spirit.

8th January: Root chakra ~ Liberate guilt & fear. our survival and security centre
15th January: Sacral chakra ~ Resolve past traumas & facilitate change, linked to creativity and sexuality and the ability to experience pleasure and joy
22nd January: Solar plexus chakra ~ Transformation & miracles, our power centre linked to self-confidence,, esteem and manifestation
29th January: Heart chakra ~ Connections & harmonious relationships, compassion and hope, the love centre
5th February: Throat chakra ~ Authentic expression & communication, our inner voice and will power
12th February: Third Eye chakra ~ Awaken intuition, perception, wisdom and power of the mind

We work on a deep level into the connective tissue (fascia) and organs, towards the release of toxins and negative emotions, through meditation, breathing and long held seated and lying down postures.
Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, has been scientifically proven to calm the nervous system and help switch off the stress response (fight or flight) allowing the body to rejuvenate and heal. 1 hour of yoga nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep.
Delivered as a guided meditation, no effort involved and no experience required. This ancient practice draws the attention inwards by guiding the awareness to various parts of the body, through a rotation of consciousness, closing down the “windows” in the mind, slowing down the mental activity and resting in an in-between state of awake awareness and sleep. This changes the brain waves into an almost hypnotic state that’s receptive to the intention (sankalpa) that’s set for the class, planting the “seeds” into the subconscious, without the analytical, critical mind interfering and creating doubt. It’s a catalyst for true change and healing on a deep level.
Anything is possible once we get out of our own way, and yoga nidra is a tool to help do just that!
This is a pure relaxation class, providing a blissed-out combination of gentle yin yoga or restorative yoga postures, then a soothing guided meditation.

Gentle Flow Yoga & Yoga Nidra
A slow gentle flow yoga class to move the energy through the body and bring a sense of calm and floaty-ness, ready to settle down for an overflowing heart yoga nidra (yogic sleep) to amplify the effects of our practice.
Includes my lovely unique essential oils blends and relaxation time and meditation, to soothe and settle restless minds.
Suitable for all levels but please be aware these classes involve moving between the floor and standing and are not like my regular yin classes where we are always lying down and seated, so a basic awareness of the salutations and postures is useful.

This 3 part special yoga class is the ultimate stress & tension melter to Release, Relax and Recharge using the powerful combination of yin yoga, fascia work, acupressure and mindfulness.
Did you know that fascia (connective tissue) is the strongest sensory organ with 250 million sensors, which is more than double the eyes!
Fascia reacts to stress and emotional tension, creating stiffness.
The amazing acupressure balls (acu-balls) we’ll be using in the 1st part of the class will help to release the emotional baggage that’s been weighing you down and also the absorbed energy from others and outside.
Anxiety is accumulated stress that’s not released.
When people keep going, it’s a way of not feeling.
Release and let go. Create space for the new. You’ll feel lighter and brighter after these 3 hours with me!

Doga & Doggy Social
at Healing Time Wellness Centre

DOGA with a difference ! A yoga class like you’ve never seen before!
Dr. Amanda Bowen and Jennie Reay are excited to announce this brand new event that promises to brighten up your life!
Both big animal lovers and the idea was “born” during a retreat day conversation at Healing Time, discussing goat yoga and sidetracking onto dogs! After a little practice run at the wellness centre they decided to go for it and offer it as a special 2 hour session split between Doga – Dog Yoga and a Doggy Social – treat time and socialising in the Cafe Calm area at the centre.
DOGA is a trend created by Suzie Teitelman in 2001 and is growing in popularity. A fun way to stretch and move whilst spending quality time with your dog, creating bonding.
Amanda will be teaching the yoga class with her boxer dog Ruby, and Jennie will be providing the reiki vibes and calmness to the gorgeous studio and throughout the class, oh and the treats!
Benefits:
Anyone who loves animals will know how much pleasure they bring, but also it’s been scientifically proven that they also reduce stress chemicals in the body, reduce loneliness and increase mood.
The benefits of yoga are well known and endless, so in a nutshell : – yoga heals the mind, body and soul and promotes inner peace and a sense of calm.
Laughter is contagious and cultivates joy, reducing blood pressure and protecting the heart. It relieves pain, boosts mood, reduces stress, increases immunity and improves resistance to disease.
Also you just feel soooooo good after a good old belly laugh! So what a combo?!
This is NOT for serious yogis, but rather a fun, social and light-hearted way to learn some basic yoga and meditation with your beloved pooch and let them mingle in a safe and calming space, whilst meeting other dog owners. Mindfulness will come naturally as you just can’t help being in the present moment for this experience with the fur babies!
Suitable for absolute beginners and total newbies, those keen to try something fun, new and a bit bonkers!
Just bring your own mat and blanket, a friendly dog and an open mind!
